Production Manager

Job Summary
We are hiring a Production Manager for a client in the Bremen, GA area at an automotive parts manufacturing facility. This role plans, coordinates, and controls manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to standard. The ideal candidate is an experienced manufacturing leader with a strong background in automotive quality systems and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations to meet output, quality, and safety targets

• Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow to meet customer demands and deadlines

• Lead, manage, and develop production teams for optimal performance and engagement

• Ensure production processes comply with IATF 16949/ISO 9001 or other relevant standards

• Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen strategies to reduce waste and downtime

• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain departments

• Monitor and report key production metrics (OEE, yield, scrap rate, cycle times)

• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations

• Manage production budgets, labor costs, and equipment utilization

• Participate in new product launches, tooling changes, and process validation

• Provide performance reports and updates to senior management

Must Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent education plus experience)

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in automotive parts manufacturing

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, process engineering, and QMS (IATF 16949, ISO 9001)

• Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement tools

• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree or MBA

• Familiarity with robotics, CNC machinery, stamping, or injection molding
