Production Supervisor

Job Summary

We are hiring a Production Supervisor for a client in Lithonia, GA. This is a direct hire opportunity for a hands-on leader responsible for driving safety, quality, and production performance on a night shift operation. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of supervising production teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production floor operations during a 12-hour night shift, spending the majority of time on the floor

• Schedule employees across lines and workstations; manage attendance, breaks, and daily assignments

• Track KPIs across Safety, Quality, Production, Service, and Efficiency — identify trends and correct issues proactively

• Conduct floor audits, verify adherence to standard work and procedures, and address deficiencies in real time

• Inspect product and sign off on quality control check sheets per established standards

• Enter production and employee data into SAP and other systems as required

• Lead onboarding and training for new hires; ensure completion to standard

• Handle employee development, performance feedback, discipline, scheduling, and time-off approvals

• Partner with other departments and management to meet production targets

Must Haves

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment

• 3+ years of experience working in a production environment

• High School Diploma or GED

• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Ability to work nights, weekends, and an on-call 2-2-3 rotating schedule

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree

• SAP experience

• Lean manufacturing experience

• Experience in paper converting, chemical/plastics processing, or industrial packaging

• Prior experience with KPI tracking and reporting
