Sheet Laser Operator

Job Summary
We are hiring a Sheet Laser Operator for a client in the Lithia Springs, GA area. This role operates a laser cutting machine to cut sheet metal in a metal fabrication and production environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with laser cutting equipment and a strong understanding of shop safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a sheet metal laser cutting machine

• Load and unload sheet metal materials

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or cut sheets to determine specifications

• Inspect cut parts for quality and accuracy

• Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain precision

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Report equipment issues or malfunctions to supervision

Must Haves

• Prior experience operating a laser cutting machine

• Ability to read basic blueprints or work orders

• Ability to lift and move sheet metal materials

• Ability to work a Monday–Thursday overnight schedule (4:30 PM – 3:00 AM)

• Basic math and measuring skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a metal fabrication or production environment

• Familiarity with CNC or fiber laser cutting systems

• Forklift or overhead crane experience
