Welder Fabricator

Job Summary
We are hiring a Welder Fabricator for a client in the metal fabrication industry. This role is responsible for reading blueprints, fabricating metal components, and performing quality checks on finished products. The ideal candidate has hands-on fabrication and welding experience and can work independently to exact specifications.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints

• Construct base templates as necessary

• Measure and mark out cutting and bending lines

• Set up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears

• Double-check design specifications before starting cutting work

• Fabricate and construct metal components

• Grind and finish completed products

• Perform quality checks on completed products

• Conform to state and company safety regulations

• Complete job reports

Must Haves

• Previous experience as a Metal Fabricator or Welder

• AWS certification and advanced welding experience

• Must pass a weld test administered by the hiring manager

• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints

• Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses

• Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects (+/- 50 lbs)

• Ability to stand for long periods

Preferred Skills

• Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures

• Strong mathematical and engineering skills
