Fabrication Technician

Job Summary

We are hiring a Fabrication Technician for a client in Fayetteville. This role involves cutting, welding, forming, and assembling metal components to engineering specifications in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble components using welders, plasma cutters, press brakes, saws, and other fabrication equipment

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to produce accurate parts

• Perform MIG welding on mild steel and other materials as required

• Set up, operate, and maintain fabrication machinery and tooling

• Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure compliance with quality specifications

• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily output goals

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company safety policies

• Identify opportunities to improve fabrication processes and product quality

• Assist with material handling, including loading/unloading steel, parts, and assemblies

• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and report any maintenance needs

Must Haves

• Experience in metal fabrication, welding, or mechanical assembly

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements

• Proficient in MIG welding and basic metalworking techniques

• Comfortable operating fabrication tools and equipment safely

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and stand for long periods

• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Preferred Skills

• Formal welding or fabrication certification

• Experience in a manufacturing or heavy-equipment environment

• Forklift certification or material-handling experience

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
