Job Summary
We are hiring a Project Engineer I for a client in the Bremen, GA area. This role manages the day-to-day scheduling and coordination of new product manufacturing launches, working across molding, painting, assembly, testing, design, quality, procurement, and production scheduling teams. The ideal candidate is organized, technically minded, and comfortable serving as the primary customer contact for new model activity.
Responsibilities
Manage project task and build event scheduling
Serve as primary customer contact for new model and supporting activity
Report assigned project status to customer and company management
Prepare and submit APQP-related documents
Manage change points and coordinate related activity
Determine and manage materials, parts, and processes needed for build events
Verify process quality during maturation and development
Conduct error analysis and problem prevention using FMEA and other AIAG core tools
Perform hands-on assembly of new project event parts
Support MRP data entry/verification, IMDS, and TS/ISO-related activities
Must Haves
Bachelor's degree (BS) in engineering or project management-related field
3-5 years of related work experience and/or training, or equivalent combination
Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, and technical procedures
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and internet software
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
Preferred Skills
Bilingual skills (Japanese, German, and/or Spanish)
Experience with MS Project
Experience with solid modeling software such as Catia

This role assures the integrity of supplied product quality, leads problem-solving and change control efforts, and maintains TS-16949 compliance in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
Foster development and training for associates on Quality system initiatives
Support and champion continuous improvement activity and TS-16949 certification efforts
Lead or participate in team-based problem solving using statistical methods and root cause analysis
Act as liaison for assigned customer locations and investigate/respond to customer complaints
Determine criteria and methods for process controls to minimize non-conforming material outflow
Coordinate containment activities to track, identify, and disposition non-conforming material
Develop and deploy control plans, operational standards, and statistical tracking tools using PFMEAs and product specs
Coordinate set-up, calibration, and measurement system analysis of test/measurement equipment
Participate in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party audits per established schedules
Maintain 5S housekeeping and safety standards
