Inventory Control Clerk

Job Summary

We are hiring a Cycle Counter / Inventory Control associate for a client. This role goes beyond counting and adjusting. You will investigate variances, find the root cause, and help sustain the warehouse's inventory accuracy goal.

Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts across warehouse locations and part numbers

• Recount discrepancies and compare physical counts to system quantities

• Research recent receipts, issues, moves, and other transactions to identify the root cause of variances

• Complete adjustments only after the investigation steps are done

• Count active locations where material may be received, issued, or moved during the count

• Record counts and inventory transactions accurately in the system

• Document variance findings and root causes

• Support the team's efforts to sustain the inventory accuracy goal

Must Haves

• Experience with cycle counting or inventory control in a warehouse environment

• Ability to investigate variances and determine root cause before making adjustments

• Strong accuracy and attention to detail when working through a high volume of locations or part numbers

• Comfortable recounting discrepancies and researching inventory transaction history

Preferred Skills

• Experience with a warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP inventory system

• Experience counting in an active warehouse where receiving and shipping continue during counts

• Background in inventory accuracy, reconciliation, or audit work

• Experience with RF scanners or handheld scanning devices
